Job Description
The Assistant Manager will support the Executive Team and shall act as the Agent-in-Charge in the absence of the Executive Team for a Retail Cannabis Dispensary. Assistant Manager will support in ensuring that all daily operating procedures are performed as required.
Responsibilities
- Create and oversee the implementation of the company’s vision and mission
- Adhere to company SOP and compliance rules extensively
- Assist in the management of the operation of the company by supervising staff and overseeing standards, controls, systems and procedures to assure the quality of the organization
- Hold employees accountable for their role and duties
- Explore opportunities for growth of business
- Support Executive Team in organizational change and growth
- Supervise, manage, and direct the activities of sales team
- Manage and inspire staff to deliver the highest level of customer service and satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state/provincial, and federal laws and regulations
- Assist with customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all strains and products in store inventory as well as industry wide product and trend knowledge
- Assist in hiring, training new employees and employee performance reviews
- Responsible for all time and attendance processes, including schedule creation, staff coverage planning, and hours approval
- Co-ordinates and assists with proper receiving, storing, and order fulfillment process, ensuring compliance to company standards
- Oversees performance measures, provides performance feedback and ensures that work standards are met
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in management position
- Must be results oriented with demonstrated expertise in team building, communications, problem solving, governance, community relations, and culture-building and proactive management style
- Ability to multitask and work well in fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills, with an emphasis on POS systems, iPad technology and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of Massachusetts cannabis industry and guidelines set forth by CCC
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Must pass any and all required background checks
